CARING FOR YOUR
Gold Jewellery
Regular cleaning of your gold jewellery keeps it looking beautiful and helps to maintain the health of your piercing (healed piercings only).
Gold, especially 9ct, can tarnish easily when exposed to chemicals in shampoos, fake tans or perfumes. To keep your jewellery in top condition, we recommend cleaning it after each use. Before reinserting, wipe it down with an alcohol swab to ensure it’s completely clean and safe for your piercing.
Follow these simple steps to keep your jewellery sparkling

Buff and Shine
Buff your jewellery gently to bring back it's sparkle and shine.

Prepare a Mild Solution
Mix a drop of mild soap with warm water in a small bowl. Avoid any harsh or scented soaps. Soak your jewellery for a few minutes in the solution.

Brush it Clean
Use a soft toothbrush, cloth, or cotton swab to gently scrub away any dirt or tarnish. This is especially helpful for stone jewellery

Rinse Thoroughly
Rinse your jewellery to remove any soap residue. Use a cup or bowl to avoid losing your precious piece down the plughole.

Gently Dry
Pat your jewellery dry with a clean cloth and now it's ready to wear
Pro Tip
For the ultimate clean, use a gold cloth and specialised gold cleaner. This will help restore your jewellery’s shine and brilliance. Ensure all harsh chemicals are thoroughly rinsed off before reinserting the jewellery back into your piercing.
